What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Use a variable font with a wdth (font-stretch) axis
(2) Add a transition rule to the font-stretch property
(3) Toggle the font-stretch property between two values.

What is the expected result?

The font transitions smoothly between two percentages

What happens instead?

The font abruptly switches to the other font-stretch property.
