Few ARC app icon shapes are different from one device to other

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Install the apps like Fox news, Overdrive, Explain everything in Nocturne and Caroline
(2) Compare the app icon shapes in both the devices

Expected Result: The icon shapes should be Round as in Nocturne device

Actual Result: The icon shape is square in Caroline and ELM device

This is working as intended. 
Caroline is currently running Android N, while Nocturne is running Android P. If you were to install these apps on two phones with Android N and P respectively, you would see the exact same situation. 
The reason for this is the new (as of Android O) standard for app icons: https://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/icon_design_adaptive
