||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChromeOS version: 71.0.3578.94 ChromeOS device model: ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 (cave) Case#: 18027255 Description: Chrome devices in our environment regularly display notifications stating that Android Certificate Authorities were installed. This is an informational message that, when clicked, displays the trusted credentials that exist in the machine's Android System. The notifications are not causing any problems but it's leading end-users to believe they need to take action in their Android Trusted Credentials menu. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install CA certificates in Admin Console 2. Login to a Chromebook Current Behavior / Reproduction: notifications about CA certs show up Expected Behavior: No notifications are shown Drive link to logs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZVr4g3HStIB3gKzfc9RBjykki5PQcJrS Screenshots: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ThlufnJEQ326mPDamSwBpKC1o6P8PTL1 https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CII2P61ajn70aSw_PKsIJtDeCGCF8ejD

I think this is a dupe of Issue 733259 (and it looks like Issue 923099 is also a dupe of this)

I'd guess this is most likely an ARC issue?

Yes, I do think this is a duplicate of Issue 733259. ykrychala@, would you mind confirming if the organization which is experiencing this is installing Authority certificates by policy? Feel free to undupe this if not. Otherwise, let's discuss on issue 733259. |
