Mouse exiting is not captured when leaving window on mac |
|
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 73.0.3668.0 (Developer Build) (64-bit) OS: MacOS What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Starting with the cursor in the chrome window, quickly move the cursor out of the window while passing over a button that highlights on hover (back button, menu button, "Other Bookmarks" button etc.) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Place one chrome window on top of another chrome window so that a button that highlights when hovered in the back window is half covered by the front window. (2) Starting with the cursor over the partly covered button in the back window, moving the cursor into the front chrome window. What is the expected result? Button does not highlight. What happens instead? Button stays highlighted while the cursor is outside the chrome window. Both of the above cases can be seen in the first attached video. This will become a more noticeable bug with the addition of Tab Hover Cards (go/chrome-tab-hover-cards-design) and can be seen in the second attached video. What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) In canary turn on 'Tab Hover Cards' flag (2) Hover over a tab (3) Quickly move the cursor down into the hover card. What is the expected result? The tab hover card disappears. What happens instead? The tab hover card does not disappear. Note that if the cursor is moved slowly down from the tab to the hover card then the mouse exiting the tab is captured and the hover card does disappear.

I noticed while reproing this that if you hover a second tab in the background window, it will bring it to the front. Known issue? |
