Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit https://airhorner.com on Chrome for Android 2. Add to home screen 3. Launch app from home screen and see the app launch without launch screen What is the expected behavior? The launch screen should be shown always when there is a cold start What went wrong? Tested the issue on android and unable to reproduce the issue Steps to reproduce: -------------------------- 1. Launched chrome and navigated to airhorner.com 2. Added as PWA and launched from home screen -- Observed launch screen every-time . Attaching screencast for reference. Chrome version: 71.0.3578.99 OS: Android 9.0 Android device: Pixel 2 XL @ mikehartington: Please check the above steps and let us know if we miss anything. Is this issue consistently reproducible? On which device this issue is seen? Any information on reproducing the issue would help in better triaging. Thanks!

The steps are correct, though it maybe happens 1 or 2 times per every 10 launches. I do notice that your tests is with chrome beta, where as mine is stable channel, though the chrome versions match. On first launch I didn't get a splash screen either. On second launch I did get a splash screen. https://photos.app.goo.gl/reuLT1RBWPR4v5AdA Fully updated Pixel 3 XL with Chrome 72.0.3626.64 beta. |
