Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. First Search anything on Google Search box and it'll show results. 2. Now mouse Click on Search area (Search box) both don't type anything and do mouse click at any blank area in result 3. Now use down arrow key of keyboard. we'll find both Search area box text and Search result area scrolls together. What is the expected behavior? I clicked on search result area, then focus of cursor should be in that area but observed that focus is still in search box area, hence scroll appears in search box. In about scenario, I don't want to search any new thing but want to scroll result of previous search but due to this behavior not able to see area covered by search box scroll area. What went wrong? In about scenario, by hitting down arrow key we're supposed to scroll in search result not in search box. It means that focus of cursor is on Search box instead of Search result area (after clicking on result area). In case if I clicked in search result area then scroll should in result area. whereas currently scroll appears in both search box and search result area. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: my email id is sunilsungliamali@gmail.com

Thanks for filing the issue... Tried to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 71.0.3578.98 using Windows 10 & 7. Attaching screen-cast for reference. Steps: --------- 1. Launched reported chrome 2. Clicked on google search and observed results 3. Clicked on empty space and pressed down arrow As we have observed that the selected result focused on result when pressed on down arrow @Reporter: Could you please check the attached screencast and let us know if missed anything from end. Thanks.! |
