Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: Since 71 WebRTC video/sounds in new javascript popup are not automatic played 1. open webpage with WebRTC video call 2. no video/sound but connection seems ok 3. after an F5/reaload, all is ok. So I think it's a Chrome issue. What is the expected behavior? direct video play without F5 What went wrong? WebRTC video play seems to not work in new popup Did this work before? N/A Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Contents of chrome://gpu: - tested with different webrtc SFU - tested with different chromium/chrome/canary/beta last - tested with linux and windows same

Does it work if you change the autoplay policy to "No user gesture required"? You can change this policy in the "Autoplay policy" section of chrome://flags

Take a look at https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes for guidance on the new Autoplay policy. Note also that autoplay should work if there is active audio or video capture via getUserMedia(). Keeping the bug open to let the Autoplay team assess if this is WAI, which it probably is.

Ok my issue come from the usage of a different domain name in javascript popup. Solved with usage of same domaine name. Thank you for your help. Can be closed if you want.
