Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://www.lockersmfg.com/for-architects/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit the website and try to download any of the pdf's 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? The pdf doesn't display, but the Chrome screen just turns gray. It should display the contents of the pdf What went wrong? Opera, Safari, and Edge display the page correctly. This is my website and I was just notified yesterday of this behavior. It was working correctly sometime last week, probably before 1-10-19 Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Two things I have noticed this morning trying to troubleshoot: 1. The PDF's display correctly on my Surface Pro running the same version of Chrome 71.0.3578.98 2. If I change the link from https to http, it works fine. I contacted my wordpress theme support team and the pdf's worked for them correctly. I have about 8 coworkers with the same chrome and software versions and the PDF's do NOT work for them either.

No, If I run with --disable-features=OutOfBlinkCors the behavior is the same, but there is a blue outline around the Chrome window. Pic attached. You can see the blue line between Chrome and the task bar. It actually is on all four sides. As I mentioned, it appears to work fine on my Surface Pro on wifi. On a coworkers Surface Pro that is wired to the network, it doesn't work. I thought it may be something on our end, but it didn't work at home on my Win10 PC.

One other thing I have now noticed. I can take the failing url and paste into an incognito tab and it works. But, if I open the website and try to open the same file it fails. https://www.lockersmfg.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Master-Lock-LLCP.pdf vs. https://www.lockersmfg.com/for-architects/ then the Master Lock-Locker Compatibility matrix. If I change the url of the link to http instead of https it works.

I think this may be (related to) bug 916514 . I see messages from superpwa-sw.js when I open the "Master Lock Lock-Locker Compatibility Matrix" tab and click the entry inside.

Can you try Google Chrome Beta or Google Chrome Canary and see if it is fixed there?

I installed Canary and the Master Lock PDF opens! The messages from superpwa-sw.js make since, because I installed a plugin called Super Progressive Web Apps in WP last week. HOWEVER, what is strange, is I also installed it on another website and the pdf's on it work in Chrome. www.itswec.com/download When I download a pdf (they all work on this site) I don't see any superpwa-sw.js messages and I don't know why or how there is a difference. |
