Chrome Version: 73.0.3669.0
Chrome OS Version: 11582.0.0
Chrome OS Platform: Nami devices only (Sona, Akali360)
Network info: wifi
Steps To Reproduce:
(1) In the above nami devices, complete Linux VM installation
(2) Insert a USB drive that has some files and debian package leafpad_08.18.1-4_amd64.deb
(3) From Files app copy / paste the above file from USB drive to Play files / Movies (or any other directory) under Play files
(4) From Files app, right click on the Play files node and choose Share with Linux
(5) After share with Linux, from Files app, double click on the leapfad package and choose to install the package from UI. Verify installation completed
(6) Right click on any text files copy to the Movies directory and choose to open with Leafpad
(7) Either to press enter or enter some string and try to Save
Expected Result:
Should be able to save without any error
Actual Result:
a) Attempt to save via leafpad leads to Can't open file to write error
b) The file then got corrupted with 0 bytes size
Note 1: This problem is only reproducible on nami devices. Same test passed on Kevin and Eve
Note 2: If I run the same test on USB device share with Linux, no such error
