I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have downloaded a new installer. I have tried a known good installer. I have changed the registry value for, "hkey/local_user/Software/Google/Chrome/bdbeacon/state" value from 1 to 0. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps I could find on the google forum: I.e. clearing cache, uninstalling/re-installing, reboot, etc.

This happened previously and a re-install fixed the issue for awhile. and then it re-occurred and I am unable to resolve this.
