Can't show plot via matplotlib

When using pyplot.show(), a window should open. However, it appears we don't have a handler for images. Could we somehow pass it to the browser or Gallery.app?

Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
This worked for me. I even tried with a new container that I only installed python and python-matplotlib into and it also worked.  I guess this is something we've fixed in a newer version, I'm using R73-11558.0.0.
