Eve does not see HP Elite USB-C Dock audio output

Google Chrome	71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Platform	11151.61.0 (Official Build) stable-channel eve
Firmware Version	Google_Eve.9584.174.0

Observed behavior:
1. Plug USB-C cable from HP Elite USB-C dock into Pixelbook (Eve) 
2. Audio output picker in system tray does not have the dock's audio output device. The audio input picker *does* have the dock's audio input device.

Expected behavior: Up until ~M70, the HP dock's audio output device was usable on Eve. Interestingly, on Chromebook Pixel (2015) "Samus" running M71, the same dock's audio output device *does* show up.
