Issue descriptionApp Version: 73.0.3667.0 Canary iOS Version: 11.4.1, 12.1.1, 12.1.3 beta#3 Device: iPhone and iPad Prerequisite: Enable ‘Show Zero-state omnibox shortcuts’ flag from chrome://flags Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch chrome with the above mentioned flags enabled 2. Load any web page in a new tab page 3. Tap on the omnibox 4. Tap on the space button in the device keyboard Observed results: Notice that the zero-suggest suggestion still appears. Expected results: On editing omnibox zero-suggest should be dismissed. I don't believe hitting space should dismiss zero-suggest. Currently we show the Shortcuts whenever there are no suggestions available, or the only suggestions available are zero-state, i.e.: - on focus - when the search term is empty - when the search term is only whitespace Once the user types any non-whitespace characters, I believe they'll always see "Search what you typed" or "Navigate to URL you typed" suggestions instead. So I'm closing as WAI. Gabe, Pete, if you disagree, please reopen.
