Eliminate usages of GoogleApiClient (deprecated)

GoogleApiClient has been deprecated (as spelled out here):
https://developers.google.com/android/guides/google-api-client

And replaced with a simpler api (yay!):
https://developers.google.com/android/guides/api-client

We should move all uses to the new api and add an Errorprone check banning GoogleApiClient.
