After clearing spam... gmail rests on the now-empty slot. Change default behavior to the always-performed action.

Issue descriptionChrome Version Google Chrome is up to date Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit) URLs (if applicable) : Irrelevant. A suggestion: After clearing all entries in spam (or any group, for that matter), I invariably change to inbox. It would be very nice if gmail would do this as a default. Why would one rest on an empty mail slot in any event, after just having cleared it? This logit may apply to all such conditions. Merely save the last operation, then, if it effected the removal of all items, or the last item, then jump to the inbox. If a bit of AI were embedded in gmail, this behavior would come about in any event. What is the expected result? or desired... Jump to the inbox slot if the immediate prior action cleared any slot. What happens instead? Gmail rests on an empty slot even though it has just been cleared, which is non-productive and counter-intuitive Please provide any additional information below. Thanks for your attention in this matter. Warren Hall
