Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Build Chromium with chromeos target. 2. Run the browser and test various keys (e.g. those two left from the backspace) in the address bar. What is the expected behavior? Keys that follow some known keyboard layout, and ability to change that layout. What went wrong? The keyboard layout is mixed up -- it is none of the existing layouts since there are, for instance, two equal signs behind two adjacent keys (one left from backspace and two left from backspace). The rest appears to me as maybe some combination of finnish and english layouts but is probably something else. The issue exists when built for the chromeos target but not for the normal build. The chromeos build is vital for me, because that is the only way to enable the accessibility features (ChromeVox screen reader and TTS). Chromium's input language setting does not have any effect besides the displayed indicator. I've tried finnish, english and even swedish with no luck. I changed chromium's language from english to finnish and back again successfully but that had no effect on the layout. I'm running a fairly fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 (language set to english) and tested with both LANG=en_US.UTF-8 and LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8. Due to the issue #909855 , I have to run the browser with --no-sandbox parameter. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 70.0.3538.77 Channel: n/a OS Version: ubuntu 18.04 Flash Version:

The issue seems to be a build related which is out of scope for TE, hence adding TE-NeedsTriageHelp label and requesting someone from the dev team to look into the issue. Tentatively adding Build component. Thanks.! |
