Behavior in Firefox 3.x/4.x: The same thing happens

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Open a Microsoft Word document.
(2)Type an English letter like 'a'.
(3)Type an alt-code 778. (hold alt, press 778 on the number pad, and release alt)
(4)Keep adding the alt-code character about 30 more times. (Nothing will change on the screen)
(5)Then copy and paste the letter into Google Chrome.
(6)Then search.

Comment:
I don't know what the extent of this could in terms of issues because I don't know all the alt-codes and they are not documented very well. The alt-code 778 is the degree symbol from what I have found. This issue isn't likely to happen since there were zero search results, but I wanted to let you know that there is no height limit in the search suggestions or the your search tag. I have included an image of the search tag with the stacked degree symbols. It also works in here. (yes, that is one character in terms of navigation with the arrow keys)
