Summary:
They need the same printing features they available with windows pC but on Chromebooks (stapling, perforator, multi page printing, etc)
Use case / Motivation:
How many users are affected? -> All Chromebooks users (we're planing to replace our entire fleet of windows laptop by Chromebooks by the end of 2019 --> 100 000+ users
-What’s the business need of the feature used? -> It is not a Business need but a feature since we moved to Chromebooks. The feature: Push printing policy on devices to set a printing setting (Colour printing, two sided, etc) by default.
-Is there a financial impact? -> Yes, because colour printing is much more expensive than black & white. Since headquarters moved to Chromebooks, we have a rate of 78% jobs printed in colour just because the setting is not set by default and people forget to set it back to black & white before sending the job.
-How is it affecting your business? -> First, it is an extra cost for us, and chromebooks are supposed to help reduce costs. Moreover, Veolia is an environmental/energy company, we must be remarkable in term of savings and resources management. We all know colour printing is even more bad for the environment.
