More granular control over extensions |
|||
Issue descriptionhttps://discourse.wicg.io/t/features-that-desktop-web-apps-still-need/2531 Sometimes there are performance issues due to extensions. For example games will sometimes run slower with extensions even though those extensions might not make sense in a game context. While we may not be able to let a site control which extensions run, we could give the user more granular choice.

Din't find much info. on the link (It seemed concerned with PWAs). But it seems to me this is requesting the ability for users to control which sites an extension can run on? If so, this is already the case with runtime host permissions. nattestad@ is this what the bug report is about?

This feature would let users more easily control whether an extension runs on a specific website. I forwarded you a thread for some more background on where this came up. Can you share more info on how this is possible today through runtime host permissions?
