Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Chrome on Android N, load 'https//m.sohu.com', 2. Select some texts, and long press the selected texts, the handles always show during Drag-and-Drop as shown in Figure 1 3. Cancel touch, the selection Popups always disappear as shown in Figure 2 I test the latest WebView, the same issue exists. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? The text handles always show during Drag-and-Drop, but the selection Popups don't display on drag end. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 70.0.3538.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.1.1 Flash Version:

@fanjinsong: This behavior seems to be intended. Select any word, you observe drag handlers and edit menu. While dragging you observed drag handlers but not edit menu. After drag both edit menu and drag handlers are seen and on de-selecting both drag handlers and edit menu disappears. If this is not the behavior you are observing please provide detailed description of the issue along with screencast and device details, this would help in further triaging. Thanks!

Hi @chlamcherla, as shown in Figure 1, we can drag the selected words not the handles, which is a feature added on Android N. After drag-and-drop, the edit menu always disappear.

Android TextView clears the selection when the drag begins and doesn't ever re-show it. How about clearing the selection when drag starts and not reshowing when when it is dropped?
