GPU Crash - report back to Chrome App via API

Reported by jseli...@intouchlink.net, Dec 28

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36
Platform: 11021.81.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
After some time running our digital signage channel, the GPU seems to crash.

The App continues to run (we can hear audio rotating correctly in the background), but the display appears completely frozen.

What is the expected behavior?
The app and signage should continue to run.

What went wrong?
The App continues to run (we can hear audio rotating correctly in the background), but the display appears completely frozen.

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 70.0.3538.110 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: 31.0.0.148

We would like to be able to monitor the gpu and report back to the app so that we can trigger a restart if this happens. Is this possible?

Note: we are using Chrome Enterprise enrolled devices using the Chrome Device Management console.

Attached is a recent log where this occurred. As per the below screenshot, the crash seems to have occurred at December 31 at 2:36am.
