Can't open Devtool on Google Drive/Sheet

Hello,

Chrome Version       : 71.0.3578.98
OS Version: 10.0
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:
    IE/Edge:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Chrome Devtools
2. Go to any web site except google drive/ sheet / doc
3. Go to Google drive

What is the expected result?
See the Devtools still open.

What happens instead of that?
Chrome Devtools close and we can't open it.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36

Thanks for filing the issue!

Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 71.0.3578.98 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched Chrome
2. Inspected the page to open DevTools
3. Navigated to Google Drive
Observed the DevTools remained without closing.

@Reporter: Could you please check the same in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

Thanks for your reply. 

It doesn't work on another profile on this computer either (with private navigation).
Which input are you waiting for to help ?

Thanks for filing the issue! However, I was unable reproduce the issue, either, on version 71.0.3578.98 for Windows:
1. Launch Chrome, go to google.com
2. Inspect the page by opening DevTools
3. Navigate to bing.com and search "Google Doc"; DevTools is still open
4. Click one of the search results to go to Google Doc; DevTools is still open.

Just to make sure - does this issue persist after restarting Chrome? If you can, could you confirm this issue exist on another computer?

Unfortunately I was unable to repro this bug either.  Without a repro, there isn't much we can do.

Could you please try launching Chrome with command line flags to print logs to the Terminal:
--enable-logging --v=1
