Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 71.0.3578.80 using Ubuntu 14.04 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Navigated to www.microsoft.com We were able to navigate to the page without that getting redirected to bing. @Reporter: Could you please check the same in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

I do not have the problem with Chrome for Linux For some reason mange certificates shows this for servers: org-Global Trustee UNTRUSTED global trustee org-Google Ltd. UNTRUSTED addons.mozilla.org UNTRUSTED login.live.com UNTRUSTED login.skype.com UNTRUSTED login.yahoo.com UNTRUSTED login.yahoo.com UNTRUSTED login.yahoo.com UNTRUSTED mail.google.com UNTRUSTED www.google.com Under certificates I see: You have certificates on file that do not fit in any of the other categories org-Microsoft Root Authority UNTRUSTED Microsoft Root Authority org-MSFT UNTRUSTED Microsoft Authenticode(tm) Root Authority org-Root Agency UNTRUSTED Root Agency

From comment#3, tried checking the issue on Chromium version 71.0.3578.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. Yet we couldn't reproduce the issue from our end, hence removing Needs-Bisect label. @Reporter: Could you please let us know if this is specific to Chromium on Debian ? Any further inputs would be helpful. Thanks!

Can you attach a chrome net-log as described at https://dev.chromium.org/for-testers/providing-network-details ? This will help determine whether there is some sort of local interception (such as an Enterprise firewall device) going on or whether it's possible that your Mozilla NSS database has been corrupted (this is generally the libnss3 library, which stores configuration and data files under $HOME/.pki/nssdb)
