I suspect this issue is related to crbug.com/906241 but I'm still investigating.

FYI this error also appears to happen on: smaug, kitty, and nyan. In each case, a private overlay is not synced (i.e. it is missing from the checkout). From the logs I surmise that the builder attempts to fetch these overlays from public remote instead of the internal remote. Here are the lines of interest: Fetching project chromeos/overlays/overlay-gale-private <Many more branches here, blah blah blah...> * [new branch] firmware-gale-8281.B -> cros/firmware-gale-8281.B I believe cros should be cros-internal. I'm still not sure which change caused this, but I suspect it was one from this chain: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromiumos/chromite/+/1359020 Don will be back Monday so I will wait to see what he has to say.

Ah... this is a known issue. The TOT code breaks if the listed board doesn't have an overlay. The relevant TOT code isn't doing anything important for firmware builds, but I haven't yet figured out how much impact it has for normal builds. So.. the dirty hack is to create a minimal place holder overlay for the board on TOT.

Thanks Don. I'll wait for your fix mentioned in 910646. |
