Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: If user have no bookmarks the message "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmark bar. Import bookmarks now..." on the start/home page is not possible to hide. Hiding bookmark bar will only hide message in new tab page but not on start page. What is the expected behavior? The message should be not visible after disabling bookmark bar. What went wrong? Not possible to hide even with bookmark bar hidden. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

Thanks for the screenshot. The Import promo text is hidden now (Please see issue 881502 ). You can try in Chrome Canary. Not sure if this will be released in in Chrome 72 or 73. Please note, that the "blank" Bookmarks Bar will be still visible on NTP for now. Maybe it will be hidden in the future too. |
