Users must be able to select hundreds of alerts for triage without killing the tab.
V2spa solves many of the performance issues around loading too much timeseries data (and introduces a couple new ones for now), but a simple cap on the number of lines would prevent that problem.
Displaying hundreds of lines would be visual noise anyway. A good maximum would probably be 20 or so.
The chart should indicate that users can deselect the alerts (or test cases in the chart-section) and select other alerts/cases in order to see them. Maybe a toast? Maybe a "!" icon by the options gear?
