Chrome takes forever to load the browser, web pages, and new tabs

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Example URL: any url, even settings Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open browser 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? The browser will immediately pop up with a new tab What went wrong? It takes 5 minutes to load the browser and the same amount of time to load any web pages Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Thanks for the report! What version of Chrome is this? Did it start after a recent update? Does it still happen on a fresh profile with no extensions? Can you take a sample while Chrome is opening via Activity Monitor > Find Chrome > Wrench Menu > Sample Process?
