Thanks for filing the issue... Unable to reproduce the issue on latest chrome stable 71.0.3578.98 using Ubuntu 17.10. Attaching screen-cast for reference. Steps: ------ 1. Launched chrome 2. Opened a new tab and pressed Ctrl+Shift+B As we have observed that the bookmarks bar is shown and hidden. @Reporter: Could you please upgrade to latest chrome stable 71.0.3578.98, you can download latest chrome builds here:" https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel ". Also retry this issue with fresh profile without any extensions & apps or reset all the flags and let us know if issue still persists. Thanks.!

Hi. I upgraded to the 71 Chrome and the issue still persists. I forgot to mention that it only happens on the "New tab" screen(with Google Search input and round shortcut thumbnails under it). So, the accurate case to reproduce the issue is like this: 1. Press Ctrl+T 2. Remove focus from the address bar(just click on empty space) 3. Press Ctrl+Shift+B
