Adding Needs-Feedback label back and waiting for net-log information to be provided by the reporter, so that it would help in further triaging of the issue. The issue seems to be specific to the network, hence removing Needs-Bisect label. Thanks.!

Does edge connect to the internet? The most common reason for connectivity differences between Chrome and Firefox is use of different proxy settings. Check what proxy settings Firefox is using and if they match what Chrome is using (NetExport log will show what Chrome's settings were). Also, are you relying on localhost URLs being sent through a proxy?
,
Jan 2
I’ve sent the net export log to this email address a couple of times, are you not receiving it, or is it not giving you useful information? I didn’t change anything other than you PNP and port forwarding for my bitcoin know but opera was running before that and chrome and after it
,
Jan 2
I received no such email, what address did you send to? The questions in comment #14 however are still applicable: * Does Edge work? * What are your proxy settings in Firefox? Are you using any Firefox extensions that modify proxy settings?
,
Jan 2
Edge works on some websites, but not on others. Doesn't work for bing or google. I'm using system proxy settings. Opera stopped working before I started using firefox, so I don't think it's an extension issue. I've attached the net export log again, please let me know if you received it, I've sent it several times
,
Jan 3
Who are you sending the log to? > Opera stopped working before I started using firefox, so I don't think it's an extension issue. I am not suggesting that Firefox broke your Opera, but rather that Firefox may be using different proxy settings (for instance either manually configured, or managed by a Firefox extension).

Check that the email was sent to eroman@chromium.org, and not the Reply-To from monorail (chromium@monorail-prod.appspotmail.com)? Or you can add the attachment here, or share via Google Drive.

Thanks, I have received over email now. It shows that you are not using a proxy, and every socket is failing with ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED. Given that Firefox is working, you probably need to use a proxy to access the internet and have that configured in Firefox but not in your system settings.
,

I'm already using a VPN, should I use a proxy server as well just to use chrome and opera? Is there a free proxy server, or should I pay for it?
,
Jan 3
I used a proxy server from this website, and Opera, Chrome, and Firefox are all working while I'm connected to my VPN: https://free-proxy-list.net/ Is this safe to do?
,
Jan 3
I can't offer advice on VPNs/proxies to use. The Chrome help forum may be a better place to get help: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/chrome |
