1. Open GMail (public version) on the Pixelbook.
2. Set display density to compact mode.
3. Hover over the right-hand side of an e-mail thread so that the archive/delete/mark unread/snooze buttons appear.
4. Tap on the archive or delete icon.

Expected Result:
Thread is archived/deleted and quick action icons appear immediately on the next thread.

Actual Result:
Thread is archived/deleted, but the quick action icons do NOT appear until the cursor is moved. This is aggravating as it's no longer possible to quickly archive/delete multiple e-mails.

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
No workaround, other than slightly moving the cursor after each tap, which defeats the purpose of the quick action tiles.

This bug does not reproduce on Lenovo Thinkpad 13 Chromebook "sentry" running Chrome 71.0.3578.94 and Chrome OS 11151.59.0, so it looks like a M72 regression.
