backdrop-filter ignoring CSS border-radius clipping

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. create an element and add backdrop-filter CSS property
2. add border-radius CSS property

What is the expected behavior?
backdrop-filter box should clip around borders

What went wrong?
backdrop-filter box does not clip around borders

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 73.0.3647.0  Channel: canary
OS Version: 10.0
