The problem I am seeing in the screencast is that it is not opening as a PDF file inside Chrome, its showing the html source instead. Did it get saved as a PDF file? I tried opening the PDF inside Adobe Acrobat, but the problem I got there is that (even if it is correctly created) I was not able to select all which is why I relied on Chrome to view the PDF, but if you can select all in Adobe Acrobat then you can use that to do the copy from at least.

Able to reproduce the issue on the reported chrome version #71.0.3578.98 and latest chrome #73.0.3665.0 using Windows 10 by following steps as per comment#0. Note: The issue is specific to Windows, it reproduces using Word. The behaviour is seen from M-60(#60.0.3112.113), considering it as non-regression hence marking it as untriaged and requesting someone from the dev team to look into the issue. Thanks.!

Is this issue actually about ligatures, or lines with the word "Ligatur" in it missing newlines?

I don't know what the trigger is, but there are ligatures after the lines with Ligatur in them and as a result the newlines are missing. But I don't know if that is because of the ligature or by chance in this case.

It seems this is happened when the last glyph is ligature. In this case, PDF viewer puts first character only into clipboard. When I changed PDF document not to end with ligature, clipboard contains "ff" and "fi". I'm not sure why "tt" and "ti" are not in clipboard though. |
