Chrome Version: 71.0.3578.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chrome OS Version: 11151.59.0 (Official Build) stable-channel nocturne
Chrome OS Platform: Pixel Slate
Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Turn on Pixel Slate for the first time.
Expected Result:
Welcoming out-of-box experience
Actual Result:
10 minutes of reboot cycles waiting for updates to download before the device is interactive. The very first interactive screen says "Please connect a keyboard to continue."
Since the Slate does not include a keyboard in the base price, this messaging is off-putting. "You can connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard to help with setup" would be a friendlier message, although it ought to be possible to set up without connecting anything.
Can we go right into the set up flow (skip the keyboard screen), and add a tip to the first screen with a text input that says "You can connect a keyboard via USB or Bluetooth"?
