Option to restore normal interface is gone

Steps to reproduce the problem:

What is the expected behavior?
There used to be a flag to restore the better normal interface. This has been removed and only the terrible material design interface is available.

What went wrong?
You removed the option to have the good normal interface.

Did this work before? Yes 

Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98  Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: 

Please fix it. There is no reason not to give us the option

The other issue does not allow me to comment.
Instead it refers to a built-in feedback tool, which only exists in Chrome and not in Chromium. So, I have no choice but to spam this issue.

I want the old tab design with diagonal shape and smaller footprint.

(I would switch to Firefox if it would be easier to hide/remove the title bar)
