autofill incorrectly fills 'qty' field with postcode

Project Member Reported by mikelawther@chromium.org, Dec 19

Issue description

Chrome Version: 73.0.3643.0
OS: Android 9

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to https://www.wholesalesuperstore.com.au/600-led-icicle-lights-ultra-bright-white-or-blue-s
(2) attempt to calculate shipping
(3) enter '1' in qty field
(4) enter postcode in 'postcode' field
(5) Autofill pops up with a suggestion for my postcode (correct)
(6) I select the autofill suggestion, and it populates both 'qty' and 'postcode' (not correct)
(7) Shipping charges are crazy, because I am now ordering a postcode's worth of icicle lights

What is the expected result?

Only postcode field is autofilled

What happens instead?

qty field is overwritten with postcode

I just looked an I see what the issue is. Both the qty and postcode field have the same field signature.

Roger, this is another issue of the field signature computing not being precise enough.
There are some changes in the works to add ordinal position of the field as a discriminator (i.e. so we can tell foo at position 1 from foo at position 2 in the same form.

Stay tuned.
