Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open attached test-ruby-multicol.html 2. Check position of ruby text What is the expected behavior? Ruby text and ruby base should be displayed in same column. What went wrong? You can see from attached test-ruby-multicol.html some ruby text was moved to upper column and in some case can see cut off of ruby text. I also attached image problem-ruby-multicol.png. As you can see in red rectangles are the cases ruby text remained in upper column and blue rectangle indicated ruby text is cut-off. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64 bit) (cohort: Stable) Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 71.0.3578.98 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Opened test-ruby-multicol.html in a new tab Didn't observe Ruby text & Ruby base rendering in separate columns. Attaching the screen shot of the same for reference. @Reporter: Could you please have a look at the screenshot and let us know if we have missed anything in the process. Requesting you to check the same in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists.

Thanks for confirming. I can see the problem from image 916259.png. As you can see some of ruby text is displaying at most left side such as "てん" at first line, and "ほうこう" at second line. However they should be moved to most right side of next line since "てん" is ruby text for character "店" at next line and "ほうこう" is part of pair of "奉公" from next line. Please also check out the attached snapshot from Edge.
