This does not repro on a Pixel device with Android N, same Chrome version. Or a Pixel 2 with Android P. 

It seems to be specific to certain devices. So far on both Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL. And the issue on a Pixel XL looks different than the Pixel 2 XL.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Enable the WebVR and Gamepad Extensions flags from chrome://flags.
(2) Go to https://poly.google.com/u/0/view/d3fIi0u9hbX.
(3) Press the Enter VR icon (VR headset).
(4) Place phone in cardboard headset and view WebVR presentation.

What is the expected result? WebVR presentation looks correct.
