Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.17 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open enough tabs to trigger the "Not enough memory to open this page" 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? Automatically trigger a tab discard to free up enough memory to open the page What went wrong? Tab discarding - a wonderful feature - isn't actually being used when chrome is using too much memory! Did this work before? No Chrome version: 72.0.3626.17 Channel: beta OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Tab discarding is a very cool feature. The most obvious use case though - when there are too many tabs open to continue using the browser - should trigger an urgent discard to free up enough memory to open the current page seamlessly. That'd be beautiful.

Thanks for filing the issue... As per comment#0 it seems to be a feature request hence marking it as untriaged and requesting someone from the dev team to look into it. |
