Unable to detect Flash content running on browser through Adobe scout tool.

Reported by mgura...@zynga.com, Dec 14

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Adobe Scout application for profiling.
2. Launch https://apps.facebook.com/farmville-two through chrome beta/dev/canary Chrome browser.
3. Launcher is not detected in scout for profiling.

3.

What is the expected behavior?
Launcher.swf should be detected by adobe scout when game is launched in chrome beta/dev/canary browser

What went wrong?
Perform same steps in chrome live browser version which is detected.

Did this work before? Yes Chrome beta/dev/canary versions released before february 2018

Chrome version: Chrome Beta (72.0.3626.17) Channel: beta
OS Version: OS X 10.12
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 32.0 d0

Thanks for filing the issue!

Tried checking the issue on reported chrome version 72.0.3626.17 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched Chrome
2. Opened Adobe Scout application
3. Navigated to https://apps.facebook.com/farmville-two
Attaching the screenshot of Adobe Scout application while the above URL is opened in chrome.

@Reporter: As we are not very sure about checking profiling i.e., Launcher.swf being detected by adobe scout, it would be helpful if shared with a screenshot showing the expected behaviour. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

@vamshi

Expected result:
Attaching Video link for same.
https://www.screencast.com/t/UDoKCxCT

Actual result:
Fails to show up launcher.swf in Adobe scout as mentioned by you in above screenshot.

Notes:
Extra observation: When any Chrome release version is in beta or canary version scout fails to detect launcher.exe where as when same browser is live launcher.swf is detected.

Because of this it is very hard for us to detect any performance related issues before chrome browser goes live.

Tried checking the issue as per comment#3, able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 72.0.3626.17 using Windows 10. But the same issue seems to be fixed in the very next build 72.0.3626.18 and on canary 73.0.3643.0 too. Hence removing Needs-Bisect label and marking it as Untriaged.

@Reporter: As this seems to be fixed in latest versions, could you please let us know if this can be closed.

Thanks!
@Vamshi.kommuri

Checked on new beta versions and canary versions of chrome still Adobe scout fails to detect Launcher file with above steps.
Can you please share Screenshot of scout detecting launcher.swf
Friendly ping @vamshi.kommuri :)
