Tunnel Connection Failed with Chrome Extension

Reported by ni...@mobicip.com, Dec 14

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.77 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Set up 407 Authentication proxy through extension,
2. Sign out of chromebook, Sign in again
3. Tunnel Connection Failed received while browsing, goes away after clearing cache and cookies

What is the expected behavior?
The proxy should work uninterruptedly even after signing in and signing out again

What went wrong?
The proxy username/password field stored in chrome local storage should be sent back as response, but its going as empty.
Seems to be working fine again after clearing cache and cookies.

Did this work before? Yes 69.0.3497

Could you attach a NetLog of this happening per these instructions? Thanks!

This sounds similar to Issue 914672, which is also about an extension filling in proxy auth by retrieving credentials from local storage.
