Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to https://tomayac.github.io/chrome-macos-virtual-memory/ in Guest mode. 2. Open Chrome Task Manager and macOS Activity Monitor. 3. Resize the window repeatedly. 4. Notice how the memory ever increases (see the three consecutive screenshots). 5. Double-click the Chrome Helper task in Activity monitor, notice how it is virtual memory (forth screenshot). What is the expected behavior? Virtual memory should not ever-increase upon resizing. What went wrong? Virtual memory ever-increases and never goes down. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 71.0.3578.98 Channel: beta OS Version: OS X 10.14.2 Flash Version:

The screenshots each time show Activity Monitor, Chrome Task Manager, and the app window.

Mac specific (doesn't repro on my linux box) -> assigning to rsesek@ for routing to a suitable owner. Do we have a label for general memory performance issues btw.?
