I think this is true for other dialogs. This is WAI according to Chrome UX. We could: 1. Push back 2. Leave it alone 3. Add it to the focus order if we think a screen reader is running (and nobody else will notice)

When I try to repro this issue in stable: Google Chrome 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: 71_Win_98), Behavior is : not able to tab to restore pages option at all

Hi dmazzoni@, Leo and I agree that a good approach would be to add another button to the dialog for "Close" or "Ignore". Here's the logic as a screen reader user: 1) You launch Chrome after a crash. Focus lands on the restore dialog. 2) You tab or navigate around to see what else is in the dialog. After all, almost every dialog has two buttons. It's unusual that this does not. 3) Nothing happens since there is no other button. No visual way to know this, so you assume something has gone wrong. 4) You press esc out of frustration. I think this will help non-screen reader users, too, who are used to a close button in their dialogs, or mouse users who just want to click the close button in one press. What do you think? |
