Issue descriptionApp Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): M72 iOS Version: 12 Device: iPhone (mostly due screen size) Steps to reproduce: 1. Have a long URL as first autocomplete result of omnibox 2. Type this URL. Note that the end of the URL is autocompleted 3. Continue typing until you reached the right of the screen and continue typing. Observed behavior: 4. You type out of the omnibox and don't see what you type Expected behavior: 4. Omnibox should scroll Frequency: 5/5 Additional comments: This behavior is different on other platform but still buggy ( crbug.com/912870 )

drive-by: this is the iOS version of desktop bug 641670.

It looks like this happens when you're typing a query/URL that has an autocomplete suggestion, but you don't tap on the drop down suggestion. If you keep typing the URL/query that is suggested, eventually the cursor is offscreen to the right, rather than shifting the text in the omnibox such that the cursor remains visible. |
