http-auth basic authentication doesn't work. Doesn't prompt for username/password

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.80 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jigsaw.w3.org/HTTP/Basic/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Try to visit https://jigsaw.w3.org/HTTP/Basic/ (which requires http-auth basic authentication. 2. A protected area of my own site fails just the same. What is the expected behavior? Username/password should be requested otherwise login just fails immediately. What went wrong? Login just fails as username/password is not requested. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes Previous version to current version. Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 71.0.3578.80 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Tried clearing cookies/cache and reinstalling Chrome to no avail.

I can't reproduce this on the same version and platform (Chrome 71.0.3578.80 / Windows). You you provide a chrome://net-export log for trying to load the jigsaw URL? Instruction: https://dev.chromium.org/for-testers/providing-network-details

Unable to reproduce the issue on chrome reported version# 71.0.3578.80 using Windows-10 with steps mentioned below: 1) Launched chrome reported version and navigated to URL: https://jigsaw.w3.org/HTTP/Basic/ 2) Able to see a prompt requesting for username and password @Reporter: Please find the attached screencast for your reference and provide your feedback on it. Please close the case. It turned out to be a Chrome plugin that was causing the issue. Apologies for the inconvenience.

As per comment# 6 from the reporter, it seems issue has been resolved, hence removing Needs-Bisect label. @Reporter: Could you please respond to comment# 8 by providing the details of plugin that was causing the issue, hence adding Needs-Feedback label to it. Thanks!
