Reported by mwood7...@googlemail.com, Dec 12

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.80 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
https://jigsaw.w3.org/HTTP/Basic/

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Try to visit https://jigsaw.w3.org/HTTP/Basic/ (which requires http-auth basic authentication.
2. A protected area of my own site fails just the same.

What is the expected behavior?
Username/password should be requested otherwise login just fails immediately.

What went wrong?

I can't reproduce this on the same version and platform (Chrome 71.0.3578.80 / Windows). You you provide a chrome://net-export log for trying to load the jigsaw URL? Instruction: https://dev.chromium.org/for-testers/providing-network-details
"Could you", rather.

Closing this bug per comment #6. Viswa Karala: If you still have the issue, feel free to file a new bug (It's best to use a new bug, even for similar-sounding issues, as the causes could be completely unrelated, an having information on different bugs together can make things much more difficult to investigate).
