This isn't a regression from what I can tell. It's not even a behavior that's standard. Typically, there's no confirmation output when selecting a menu item. This is actually similar to other platforms/screen readers. What I am worried about is web apps that have menu items. For example, Docs -> accessibility menu -> settings -> braille mode check box menu item. Selecting and hitting enter on this would not announce the new state. I'm closing for now, but if you feel strongly we can re-open as a low priority bug. |
