Repro steps:
1. sudo apt install lyx inkscape
2. Start lyx or inkscape
3. Get into a context where you enter some text.
4. Hardware keyboard works.
5. Enable Accessibility Options
6. Enable onscreen keyboard and start typing.
Expected: Effect should be the same - whether I type a letter using the onscreen keyboard or the hardware keyboard.
Actual: No reaction to typing on the onscreen keyboard
The impact is, of course, much worse when you use the tablet mode of your device or with devices that do not have any hardware keyboard! That is actually the situation a friend reported.
