Cannot sign in to Chromium

Reported by derek...@gmail.com, Dec 10

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/73.0.3636.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click the User button
2. Click "Sign in to Chromium"
3. Sign in to Gmail account (Using 2-factor authentication)

What is the expected behavior?
Sign into Chromium to allow account syncing.

What went wrong?
Once completing the two-factor authentication, the modal closes as expected but still not signed in to the browser.

Did this work before? Yes 73.0.3635.0

Chrome version: 73.0.3636.0 Channel: dev
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

This is probably another matter entirely, but in regards to 2FA, the modal that pops up in the Gmail app (iOS) asking if it's you - is no longer displaying. So, one is forced to use the Google Authenticator app instead. I'm not sure if the account just ins't being authenticated or what the deal is.
