Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 11021.81.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36 Platform: 11021.81.0 (Official Build) stable-channel orco Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Startup 2. Login and use (sometimes it doesn't even work on the login page) 3. Perform a hard reset and the issue reoccurs. What is the expected behavior? The trackpad will become slow and then unresponsive after used for about 30 seconds to minutes at a time, however, it does occur frequently. What went wrong? The most recent update has a bug causing the trackpad to become unresponsive during normal use of the computer. Did this work before? Yes It began having problems right around version 65 I believe, on and off as the updates came and ever since the most recent update it has been worse than ever before. Chrome version: 70.0.3538.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 11021.81.0 Flash Version: 31.0.0.148 Plugging in a USB mouse brings the cursor back to life but the trackpad remains unresponsive. I tried powerwashing, recovering, deleting files, disabling extensions, physically disconnecting the battery (which fixed the issue for like 3 hours or so). Doing a hard reset fixes it temporarily but most of the time but the issue comes up again fairly quickly, within 5 minutes or so. It has become so bad that I have to restart my computer constantly and I use it for school so it is extremely inconvenient. And just for clarification I am 100% certain this is not a hardware failure, I did some research and found that in past chrome versions on different chromebooks the same problem *bug* has appeared. |
