Wrong suspected CL from Findit

Project Member Reported by jyasskin@chromium.org, Dec 6

Issue description

https://sheriff-o-matic.appspot.com/chromium/examine/chromium.memory.Linux%20ChromiumOS%20MSan%20Tests.browser_tests. says "findit Findit (?) suspects CL 614393 with 50% confidence. More details...", but the More details link goes to https://findit-for-me.appspot.com/waterfall/failure?url=https://build.chromium.org/p/chromium.memory/builders/Linux%20ChromiumOS%20MSan%20Tests/builds/10013, which says the good->bad transition waas 10012->10013, which doesn't include CL 614393 at all.

Thank you for reporting this bug to us.

It looks CL 614393 was found by our heuristic analysis in an analysis on a later build: https://findit-for-me.appspot.com/waterfall/failure?url=https://build.chromium.org/p/chromium.memory/builders/Linux%20ChromiumOS%20MSan%20Tests/builds/10016.

And we were using the analysis for the first failure https://findit-for-me.appspot.com/waterfall/failure?url=https://build.chromium.org/p/chromium.memory/builders/Linux%20ChromiumOS%20MSan%20Tests/builds/10013 on SoM, which is the bug.
Is this a bug in SoM or a bug in FindIt?

It should be on Findit side. (remove label Infra>Sheriffing>SheriffOMatic)
I'd say it's a bug in Findit that we provided the wrong result to SoM. I'll remove SoM component from this bug.
