2. Background the app and force quit
3. 3D-touch on the app icon and select “Voice Search”
4. Background the app when splash screen is displayed
5. 3D-touch on the app icon and select “Scan QR Code”
6. Close the QR Scanner

Note that even if the logo is back when you open a new NTP, it seems that VoiceSearch isn't responding.
I think it is because the voice search animation is started and the app is backgrounded before the hooks are in place, so it is not properly cancelled during background.
I think it is low priority as it is hard to reproduce.
